L Roofbox is:

Yes, if the box is available, i.e. has not been rented to someone else. Extra days are charged.
It would be better to reserve it a day before you think you’ll need it. We do actually use the pick up and drop off dates and times you request. 

Extra weeks and extra days are deeply discounted and are automatically applied at check out. Occasionally we’re able to extend your reservation for you to pick up early or return past the originally selected dates. Please text or call while on your adventure if you’re hoping to add days; sometimes boxes are scheduled to go out very soon after they are returned, so sometimes we are not able to extend, though we make every effort to do so, up to and including purchasing new roof boxes to accommodate requests. 

You are welcome to pick up and drop off any time, 24/7.
Installation is available at 9:30 am and 8 pm.

Absolutely! When you reserve your box, reserve the 4th through the 12th.

Yes. The charge is automatically calculated in Checkout. 

You need crossbars to use these roof boxes as intended by Thule.
It is not unusual for people to pick up a box and put it inside a minivan or SUV. 
It is less common, but other clients have customized their vehicle to accept the roof box but used in a non-standard way.

You need to supply your own crossbars.
They can be found at the dealership or Thule.com.
Some people also order crossbars after doing a web search.
You need to have them already mounted and ready to go when you arrive to pick up your box from Roof Box Guy. Online videos are often available to learn about crossbars and how to install them. Price varies quite a lot, and Roof Box Guy’s very own Sienna crossbars were $99 from the Toyota dealership, Ford Excursion crossbars were $125 from the Ford dealership, and over $850 for the Thule setup for a vehicle without roof rails (roof rails run front to back).

You need to supply your own crossbars, mounted and ready to go BEFORE picking up a roof box from Roof Box Guy.
The Escalade, Tahoe, Suburban, Excursion, Grand Cherokee L, etc., have three mounting positions for the crossbars; use the first two mounting positions.
The front mounting position for the front crossbar is near the front doors. Use the next available mounting position for the back crossbar, it will be near the rear doors. The box will not fit if the crossbars are mounted on position 1 and 3.

Crossbars can be purchased from the dealership or from Thule.com.
If you need some help, Google “(year and make and model of your vehicle) crossbars.” For example, if your vehicle is a 2022 Cadillac Escalade, Google “2022 Cadillac Escalade Crossbars.”
I only purchase OEM or Thule products. In our example, note which are sold by a GM, Chevrolet, or Cadillac dealership.
The dealership can also install crossbars if you do not want to install them yourself. We accept no responsibility for damage to any vehicle, roof box, or other due to crossbars. If we help install your crossbars, those arrangements and payment need to be made in advance. Our fee for OEM crossbar installation is $125-250, and we accept no responsibility. 
Fee for setting up aftermarket crossbars is $250-350, depending on complexity of system. We encourage you to have your crossbars installed elsewhere. 
For reference, any price under $300 is very good for crossbars. I paid over $500 for the crossbars for my bare-roof vehicle.

Crossbars should be between 24″ and 36″ apart from each other. 
The space between crossbars needs to be at least 24″ and no more than 36″

Yes! We are always buying boxes. Please contact me if you have a box you need to sell.
If your box is broken on top, before tossing it in the recycle bin, please contact me. If we can keep good parts out of the landfill, that is a win for everyone. I am also contacted for parts from time to time, so this helps up keep others’ boxes in a serviceable condition.

Sunday morning pick up and drop off is available, but no installation help will be available. Please bring a friend to help you lift the box on or off of your vehicle.

Refunds are available when reservations are cancelled two weeks (14 calendar days) or more prior to beginning of reservation period specified when reservation is originally made. Cancellations less than two weeks of scheduled roof box pick up and more than one week of pick up may receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than one week of scheduled roof box pick up will not receive a refund. Late pick ups or returns will not be given a refund of any sort.
Returning the box early does not garner a refund. 
Here’s why: we actually purchase these boxes and we purchase boxes sometimes for actual reservations. When someone reserves a roof box for a specific pick up date and time, that box goes out of available inventory until the reserved return date and time; we cannot rent it out to someone else because it is reserved for you. We do not overbook, as some service industries are known to do. Because we do not overbook, the box we have promised to you will be available as promised as far as we are able. More than once a box has been returned to us damaged, and because it was the box promised to the next person, and because it is no longer in rentable condition, we have driven to a local retailer and picked up a brand new box so it would be ready for a customer of ours. Typically we spend 10x the amount of a rental to purchase a box. For this and other reasons we do not offer refunds for cancelling your reservation within a week of pick up. This is common in the rental industry.

Pick up address for your location is included in the receipt email that is sent immediately after your reservation is placed and on our Contact page. If you do not see an email from Roof Box Guy, then please check your spam folder.

We absolutely go by the pick up date and time and drop off date and time you select when you reserve a roof box. 
12 am is one minute after 11:59 pm. If you reserve the box until the 10th at 12:00 am, we expect it back just after 11:59 pm on the 9th.

The reservation engine trusts your dates and times that you enter yourself when you reserve a roof box. If you reserve a roof box until 12 am on the 10th, the system knows it is available to be rented out starting at any time on the 10th. You will be charged for the appropriate number of days you have chosen in your reservation.
If you would like to add time to your reservation please send me a message so I can modify your reservation and let the system know to not rent out your box because it will not yet be returned. Sometimes this adds an extra charge for having the roof box longer. This is the same as if you rent a car and keep it an extra day, or a hotel that you stay in an extra day, or a piece of equipment you rent from a massive box store; the price for renting an asset goes up the longer you have that asset reserved, tied up, off site, or otherwise unavailable for use by others.
